11 p.m. Wednesday - John Sobkiewicz, 48, of Saxonburg is accused of choking and threatening to kill Lisa Bowser, 45, of Saxonburg at an Oak Leaf Drive home in Jefferson Township. Sobkiewicz was arraigned on charges of simple assault and terroristic threats, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $12,000 bond2:10 p.m. Wednesday - A pickup truck driven by Richard Webb, no age given, of Butler struck a utility pole along Unionville Road in Center Township.7:10 a.m. Wednesday - Cars driven by Beth Winter, 17, and Kyle Casey, 17, both of Cranberry Township collided on Route 19 at the northbound on-ramp to Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.6 p.m. Tuesday - A car driven by John Gottula, 33, of Mercer struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township, went over a bridge wall, fell onto a concrete drainage support wall, and traveled down onto Route 68.Gottula, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with a moderate head injury to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.11:30 p.m. Monday - A vehicle driven by Tracey Smith, 38, of Connoquenessing struck a utility pole along Route 503 in Connoquenessing Township.7:21 p.m. Monday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Christine Malloy, 53, of North Huntingdon, Westmoreland County, struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on Staff Road in Muddy Creek Township.5:46 p.m. Monday - A car driven by a Slippery Rock teenager struck an embankment and rolled onto its side on Textor Hill Road in Jackson Township. Police did not identify the 17-year-old driver.5:26 p.m. Sunday - Cars driven by Christopher Burkey, 30, of New Springfield, Ohio, and Corinn Randolph, 22, of Meadville, Crawford County, collided on Route 68 and Eagle Mill Road in Connoquenessing Township. Randolph, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.2:40 a.m. Aug. 20 - Marion Rose Lee, 45, of Bradford Woods, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 19 in Cranberry Township.Aug. 20 - Someone shot a dog with a shotgun in the Dogwood Road area of Fairview Township. The 2-year-old black mixed-breed dog was not leashed at the time. The condition of the dog was not known this morning.
10:40 a.m. Tuesday - A 15-year-old boy, who police did not identify, reportedly escaped from the George Junior Republic juvenile detention facility in Pine Township, Mercer County. No other information was available this morning.Sunday - Several undisclosed items were taken between 7 and 8:30 p.m. from an unlocked car on Route 258 in Springfield Township. Gregory Holmes of Grove City owns the stolen property.
