Mickey, Czzowitz
Shannon Mickey of Butler and Gregory Czzowitz of Burke, Va., were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. July 16 at Nixon United Methodist Church, Penn Township. The Rev. Keith Dunn officiated. A reception followed at Hindman Hall in Butler.
The bride is the daughter of James and Sandra Mickey of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Lewis and Barbara Czzowitz of Butler.
The matron of honor was Stacey George of Butler. Bridesmaids included Jennifer Wymer of Bradfordwoods, Rebecca Czzowitz of Erie, Christie Fowkes of Vandergrift and Mae Wilson of Richmond, Va. Emma Wilson of Richmond was the flower girl.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Douglas Buzzard of Springfield, Va. Ushers included Michael Wymer of Bradfordwoods; Aubrey Port of Columbia, S.C.; Todd Baham of Laurel, Md.; and David George of Butler. The ring bearer was Dade George of Butler.
The bride is a 1993 graduate of Knoch High School and a 1997 graduate of Grove City College. She works at St. Stephen's Preschool in Burke.
The groom graduated in 1988 from Butler High School and in 1992 from Gannon University. He is employed at C-SPAN in Washington, D.C.
Following a honeymoon trip to Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, the couple is making their home in Burke.
