Hammond, McGee
Sara Hammond formerly of Penn Yan, N.Y., and Kenny McGee formerly of Butler, both now living in Monroeville, were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. April 9, the anniversary of their first date, at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church in Monroeville. The Rev. Michael Decewicz officiated. A reception followed at the Churchill Valley Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Terry and Lois McMichael and Bucky Allen, all of Penn Yan. Parents of the bridegroom are Kenneth McGee and Diana McGee, both of Butler.
The honor attendant was Jessica Boyan of Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Bridesmaids were Angela McGee of Butler; Frances Berry-Worcester of Hooksett, N.H.; Jessica Adams of Stanley, N.Y.; Diane Biolsi Mellon of Tampa, Fla.; and Colleen Edwards of Auburn, N.Y.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Christopher Petrak of Weston, Conn. Groomsmen were Scott Hammond of Florence, Colo.; David Smith of Fredericksburg, Va.; David Sefton of Cranberry Township; Tony Caraglio of Rochester, N.Y.; Daniel Hamilton of Laurinburg, N.C. and Andrew Patterson of Fox Chapel.
The bride graduated in 1993 from Penn Yan Academy, in 1997 from State University of New York at Cortland and in 1999 from Alfred University. She works for the University of Pittsburgh.
The bridegroom graduated in 1994 from Butler High School and in 1998 from Alfred University. He works for Hefren-Tillotson in Pittsburgh.
After honeymooning in Ireland, the couple is making their home in Monroeville.
