Ernest and Roberta Taylor of Butler celebrated 45 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at The Villa in Codogan.

The former Roberta Blain married Taylor on Aug. 12, 1960, at the East Butler United Presbyterian Church in East Butler.

They have five children, Amy Taylor Parker, Beth Taylor Ackelson and Jennifer Taylor, all of Butler; Holly Taylor Mead of Lewisville, N.C.; and Shawn Taylor of New Castle.

They also have nine grandchildren.

Taylor is the retired owner of Ernie Taylor's Chicken Bar-B-Que, which he ran at the Butler Fair and Butler Farm Show for over 30 years. He also worked in sales for several Butler businesses and as a bus driver for several companies.

Mrs. Taylor is the owner of Bobbie's Beauty Shoppe. She is involved with the Miss Butler County America and Miss Moraine State America pageants.

Both are active in the Musical Theater Guild, the Karns City High School Drama Program and the Jefferson Grange.

The couple belongs to GraceWay Community Church.
