Ray and Kay Brandt of Mars celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family gathering in Virginia.

The former Kay Werling married Brandt on Aug. 20, 1955, at St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars.

They have four children, Terri Brandt of Mars; Donald Brandt of New Market, Md., Craig Brandt of Canton, Ga., and Charles Brandt of Weirton, W.Va.

They also have 10 grandchildren.

Brandt retired after 36 years of work as a certified public accountant with a Pittsburgh firm. He continues to work part time as an accountant.

Mrs. Brandt is retired from Three Rivers Sales, where she worked in marketing. She enjoys crocheting and sewing.

The couple belongs to St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church, where Mrs. Brandt taught CCD classes for 16 years.

Both avid campers, they also belongs to the Family Campers and RVers.
