A June, 2007, wedding is being planned by Bruin residents Kayla Thompson and Ryan Smith.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rick and Patty Thompson of Bruin. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Kevin and Sheri Smith, also of Bruin.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2005 graduate of Butler County Community College. She is employed at Signature Surfaces in Cranberry Township.

Her fiancé graduated in 2004 from Karns City High School. He is the owner and operator of Smith Construction in Bruin.
