6:30 a.m. Friday - William Schantz, 37, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his stepson during a domestic dispute at their Mechling Lane home. Police said Schantz later took the stepson's vehicle without permission.Schantz was arraigned on charges of simple assault, harassment, unauthorized use of vehicles and driving with a suspended vehicle, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bond.

10:05 a.m. Monday - A car driven by Eleen Gilkey, 74, of Grove City slammed into a ditch and rolled onto its side after hitting a deer on Scrubgrass Road in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County.
