Raymond and Wilma Pfeifer of Butler celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at the Runway Restaurant in Penn Township.

The former Wilma Painter married Pfeifer on Aug. 11, 1945, at Mount Oliver Baptist Church in Pittsburgh.

They have five children, Raymond Pfeifer of Mars and Sandra Mickey, Lisa Pfeifer, Lori Pfeifer and Lance Pfeifer, all of Butler.

They also have four granddaughters and a great-grandson.

Pfeifer is retired from U.S. Steel in Saxonburg.

Mrs. Pfeifer is a retired Avon representative.

The couple belongs to Nixon United Methodist Church.
