1:30 p.m. Thursday - A truck driven by Jason Trufley, 35, of Butler struck the steel window frame of Sky Bank at the intersection of East Birch and South Main streets, bending it. Trufley was cited for damaging the frame after a witness reported the incident.Thursday - Christina Cloherty, 28, of Karns City is charged with forgery and criminal conspiracy in connection with a fraudulent check. Cloherty is accused of cashing a check signed by a Butler woman, Kathleen Buczko, 45, who forged her husband's name. Kelly Snyder, 26, of Karns City is charged with theft by deception, receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy also for cashing a check forged by Buczko. After Ronald Buczko, 45, reported on June 30 that four checks were stolen with two cashed fraudulently, Kathleen Buczko was charged with forgery and criminal conspiracy. Kathleen Buczko admitted to police she forged the checks, worth $80 and $100, so she could buy heroin in Pittsburgh. Her husband also accused her of stealing more than 30 CDs for the same purpose. Police found 24 of the CDs at the CD Zone store at Moraine Point Plaza.

6:25 a.m. Friday - A vehicle driven by Tim Osche, no age given, of Butler was eastbound on Route 422 just east of Mercer Road when it rear-ended a pickup truck driven by Richard Laskowsky, no age given, of Evans City. Neither driver was injured. Osche's vehicle was towed.

10:30 p.m. Wednesday - A truck driven by Sharon Twentier, 47, of Parker was traveling on West Eldorado Road when it hit a tree. Twentier was cited for multiple traffic violations after fleeing the scene without notifying police.2:05 a.m. Friday - Christa Oshea, 20, of Verona was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Route 422 in Summit Township.Tuesday - Barbara Shumaker, 32, of Butler reported the theft of a Fisher-Price 6-volt toy truck from her yard at 560 Village Drive in Franklin Township.
