Lester Hall of Slippery Rock celebrated his 80th birthday Sunday at his home with family and friends.

Hall was born Aug. 7, 1925, in Butler County. He married Margaret Sybert on Dec. 12, 1943; she is deceased.

He has four children, Barbara Tebay of Butler; Ron Hall of Walton, Ind.; and Bev Everly and Elaine Crispen, both of Slippery Rock. A son, David Hall, is deceased. He also has 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Hall is retired from Pullman-Standard. He enjoys farming and continues to raise cattle.

He belongs to the Masonic Lodge 603 of Grove City and the Scottish Rite Consistory of New Castle.
