Barbara M. Lavorini, 90, formerly of Pleasantview Avenue, died at 2 a.m. Tuesday at Saxony Health Center, Saxonburg.

Born in Lyndora, May 8, 1915, she was the daughter of Slavko and Ljubica Yukovak Yurkovich.

She was a homemaker and member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Vincent (Dorothy) Burke and Mrs. Stanley (Shirley) Schubert, both of Butler, and Mrs. Barbara Hinchberger of Germany; and four brothers, Tony Yurkovich of Butler, Al York of Middletown, Ohio, William Yurkovich of Fairless Hills, Bucks County, and Frank Yurkovich of Lyndora. She also is survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Lavorini, who died Sept. 10, 1993, and a brother.

LAVORINI - Friends of Barbara M. Lavorini, who died Tuesday, July 5, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 429 Center Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Center Avenue, with the Rev. James Dolan officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael Cemetery.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael Parish will hold a scriptural wake service at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
