A Sept. 2, 2006, wedding is being planned by Melissa Amy and Randal Thompson, both of Connoquenessing Township.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Rick Amy and Barbara Kowola, both of Natrona Heights, and Fernando and Barbara Vagnozzi of Russellton. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Charles and Debra Thompson of Cranberry Township, and Ella Link of Cabot.

The bride-elect graduated in 1994 from Freeport High School and in 1996 from the Newport Business Institute. She works for Clearwater Construction in Mercer.

Her fiancé graduated in 1978 from Seneca Valley High School. He is self-employed at Bowers Garage in Zelienople.
