4:55 p.m. Monday - A car driven by Richard Kelly, 77, of Butler Township and a motorcycle driven by James Stanley, 45, of Butler collided on West New Castle Street. Stanley was thrown off his motorcycle and over the car's hood. Stanley, who was wearing a helmet, suffered minor injuries. Kelly was cited for careless driving.
7:05 p.m. Wednesday - Two Slippery Rock women were injured, one seriously, when their car slammed into a utility pole and flipped onto its roof along Route 173 in Brady Township.Charlene Janke, 19, who was driving the car, was flown by medical helicopter to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Amanda Miller, 24, was taken with moderate injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.The conditions of the women, both of whom were wearing seat belts, were not known this morning.12:40 p.m. Wednesday - A Chicora man was seriously injured when his motorcycle and a car collided at Main and Water streets in Chicora.Joseph Buzzard, 48, was thrown off his motorcycle that collided with a car driven by Marie Whitmer, 76, of Chicora. Buzzard, who was wearing a helmet, was flown by medical helicopter with head, neck and arm injuries to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. His condition was not known this morning.12:08 p.m. Wednesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Lydia Jones, 58, of Chicora and a mini-van driven by Gary Stull, 63, of Kittanning collided at Trimur and Kamerer roads in Donegal Township.Wednesday - Nearly $1,200 in lawn furniture and other property being sold at a vegetable stand at Route 108 and West Park Road in Worth township was stolen between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday in Worth Township.The property, owned by Kenneth Seivers of Slippery Rock, included four Amish-made rocking chairs and four matching tables, three bird feeders, two wooden water pump lawn ornaments and about a dozen ears of corn.Tuesday - Mark Ferguson of Chicora reported that an Eclipse compact disc player/radio valued at $225 was taken from his unlocked vehicle on West Slippery Rock Street in Chicora. The theft occurred between 10:30 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.Monday - About $60 in currency was taken and $200 in damage was reported in a burglary between 1 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Monday at a Slippery Rock Salvage maintenance building in Slippery Rock Township. Police said the unknown suspect or suspects threw paint inside an office and garage in the building.Monday - A woman who police did not identify is suspected of breaking into a camper at Moraine Camplands in Brady Township and taking a purse owned by Mary Toomey of Tarentum, Allegheny County. The suspect used an automated teller machine card in the purse to withdraw $300 from Toomey's bank account. The burglary occurred between 10 a.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Monday.Monday - A wallet owned by Leroy Pounds of Slippery Rock was taken between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. from a sport utility vehicle at Beach Road and Route 173 in Slippery Rock Township.1:30 a.m. Sunday - A vehicle driven by Justin Benzo, 22, of Butler traveled off Shannon Road at Route 528 in Connoquenessing Township, drove over a yard and struck a wooden fence. Police said Benzo fled the scene after the crash.Friday - Dennis Baptiste reported that someone between June 15 and Friday stole several small pine trees and landscaping stones from the 30-foot long, 3-foot high stone wall at his Clearfield Road home in Clearfield Township.
Noon Sunday - Cars driven by Linda Hawk, no age given, and Betty Bowser, no age given, both of Rimersburg collided at Lawsonham Road and Acme Street in Rimersburg, Clarion County.
