9:21 p.m. Sunday - Terry McClimans Jr., 20, of Franklin Township is accused of assaulting a man whom he saw with his former girlfriend at the North Main Street parking lot.Police were called to a fight at the lot and learned that the defendant had allegedly attacked Andrew Skrocki, 20, of Franklin Township. Witnesses said McClimans yelled profanities at his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend before charging at Skrocki with a beer bottle and beating him.Another man pulled McClimans off Skrocki but the defendant broke free and resumed beating the victim, breaking Skrocki's cell phone in the process.McClimans is charged with simple assault, criminal mischief, underage drinking and disorderly conduct. Additionally, he is charged with indirect criminal contempt for violating a protection from abuse order held by his former girlfriend. He remains in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond.
3:55 p.m. Tuesday - Two people were seriously injured in a chain-reaction crash at Route 422 and Paradise Lane in Summit Township.The crash occurred when a car driven by David Courson, 21, of Butler struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle driven by E. Scott Brady, 55, of Meadville, Crawford County. The collision forced Brady's vehicle into the rear of another SUV driven by Amanda Steele, 22, of Butler.Courson and Brooke Donelson, 20, of Butler, a passenger in his car, were flown by medical helicopter with unknown injuries to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. Their conditions were not known this morning. Neither was wearing a seat belt.Brady, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Tuesday - Renee Cuffman of Butler said someone took her purse between 4 and 5:30 p.m. from an unlocked vehicle at Armco Park in Slippery Rock Township.2:02 a.m. Sunday - Stephen Sicilia, 32, of Levittown, Bucks County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 422 in Franklin Township.11:28 p.m. Saturday - Craig McDaniel, 25, of Enon Valley, Lawrence County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 8 in Middlesex Township.July 26 - Richard Leventhal of Butler said his Compaq Presario laptop computer was taken between July 21 and 26 from Clearview Mall near the Boscov store parking lot in Center Township.
2:10 p.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Timothy Saulnier, 24, of New Brunswick, Calif., and a minivan driven by Lori Bontempi. 37, of Wyckoff, N.J., collided on Interstate 80 in Pine Township, Mercer County.Both vehicles traveled down an embankment before Saulnier's car rolled over three or four times. Saulnier, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to United Community Hospital in Grove City.4:52 p.m. Monday - Pickup trucks driven by Patrick Pape, no age given, and Robert Eaton, no age given, both of Grove City, collided on George Junior Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.
