Ronald D. Ritzert

Ronald D. Ritzert, 62, of Chicora died at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home after a long illness.

Born in Donegal Township, Dec. 12, 1942, he was the son of Urban A. and Caroline Weiland Ritzert.

He worked at the Logan Clay Co. in Craigsville for 10 years until the plant closed. He then worked at Indspec in Petrolia for 12 years.

Mr. Ritzert was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, North Oakland.

He enjoyed farming, gardening and growing flowers.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Nancy) Schnur and Mrs. Edward (Dolores) Cypher, both of Chicora; three brothers, Bernard Ritzert of Louisville, Ky., Herbert Ritzert of Chicora and the Rev. William Ritzert of Evans City; and several nieces and nephews.

RITZERT - There will be no visitation. Friends of Ronald D. Ritzert, who died Tuesday, June 28, 2005, are asked to meet at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 860 Chicora Road, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by his brother, the Rev. William Ritzert, pastor of St. Matthias Roman Catholic Church, Evans City. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME, Chicora.Memorial donations may be made to the VNA Hospice, 154 Hindman Road, Butler, PA 16001.
