Butler Summer Dramatics Youth Project is staging the musical "Oliver!" through Sunday at the Succop Theater in Butler County Community College's Cultural Center.

The curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.

The 57th annual Butler Farm Show begins Aug. 8 and runs through Aug. 13 at the Farm Show Grounds, Route 68.Activities include livestock and farm products judging, music, food, entertainment and carnival rides.Shows feature figure 8 races at 8 p.m. Aug. 8 for free. PORTERSVILLE - Visitors to the 43rd annual Portersville Steam Show will see John Deere tractors in addition to other equipment at the summer show, scheduled for Aug. 4 through 7 at the Steam Show Grounds. Each year a different brand of equipment is featured at the show.Daily events include parades, engine displays, well drilling, train rides, farm animals and a flea market. Various other pieces of steam-powered equipment also will be displayed and operated.On Aug. 8, an antique car club will show cars at the grounds.Admission is $4 with free entry for children under age 12. PITTSBURGH - Scholarship auditions for the Pittsburgh CLO Academy for students ranging from age 10 to high school seniors will be conducted Aug. 17 by appointment only.Students who have prior training as well as students who have a strong interest in musical theater but have little or no experience may attend.
