12:05 a.m. Tuesday - Robert Hays, 45, was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend, Michelle Wolfe, 38, of Butler, during a domestic dispute at Hays' South Washington Street home. Hays is charged with simple assault.452 p.m. Monday - A truck driven by Stanley Hull, 65, of Center Township and a car driven by Thomas McClain, 45, of Butler collided on East Jefferson Street. Sonya Harris, 34, of Butler, a passenger in the car, was taken with unknown injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. She was not wearing a seat belt.4:21 p.m. Monday - A car driven by Anne Mook, 22, of Summit Township struck the rear of a pickup truck at Center and Wallula avenues. Mook was cited for driving too closely to another vehicle. James Pudina, 47, of Concord Township was driving the pickup.3:10 a.m. Monday - A heavy truck hauling a highway grading machine wiped out a parking meter and caused other damage at a car dealership in an accident on West Wayne Street.The truck driven by Michael Osborne, 51, of Indiana, Indiana County, which was pulling a flatbed with a Gradall excavator on it, ran over a city-owned parking meters as the vehicle pulled into a lot at West Wayne and South Cedar streets.The Gradall got caught on wires running between three wooden poles in the lot owned by Butler County Ford. The excavator tugged the wires, which pulled down the poles, one of which fell onto the hood of a pickup truck owned by the dealership.

Monday - Police reported that David Andrew Morrow, 22, of Butler was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, stemming from a May 11 incident in which the defendant was allegedly found with heroin at a Shawnee Drive home in Center Township.Friday - A thief or thieves removed locks from a pair of storage units at Monroe's Mini Storage on Perry Highway in Muddy Creek Township. A Nikon surveying instrument and a blue, Yamaha 550 generator, owned by Rock Hard Concrete of Irwin, was taken from one of the units. No property was reported taken from the other unit, rented by Pittsburgh Paint and Glass of Portersville.
