Warren L. Banks

Warren L. Banks, 73, of Middlesex Township died Thursday.

Born April 22, 1932, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of William and Aileen Fricke Banks.

He graduated from the Connelly Trade School and entered the Navy during the Korean War as an electrician with the Seabees. He spent his working years at Armco in Ambridge and retired in 1983. He then worked at SPIC as an electrical instructor and retired in 1997.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Margaret L. Butera Leach, whom he married in 1977; his loving children and their spouses, Jeffrey and Linda Banks, Beverly Banks and Thomas Beatty, Bonnie Banks and Ernie Palmieri and Gary Banks; stepchildren Francis and Eleanor Leach, Susan Leach and Richard Huerbin, Sandra Leach and Dennis Scarborough, Shirley Leach Purcell, Richard Leach and Robert and Carolyn Leach; six grandchildren; and 10 step-grandchildren.

He also is survived by his siblings, Gail Banks, Dawn Klingensmith and James and John Banks.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William Banks.

BANKS - Friends of Warren L. Banks, who died Thursday, June 23, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Heckert Road, Richland Township. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev.
