Merle and Jean Goehring of Zelienople will celebrate 60 years of marriage with a family dinner and river cruise in August.

The former Jean Neely married Goehring on July 18, 1945, at St. John's Reformed Church in Evans City.

They have two children, Janice Bossler of Evans City and Kenneth Goehring of Zelienople.

They also have three grandsons.

Goehring retired from Mine Safety Appliance after 30 years. He enjoys yard work and gardening.

Mrs. Goehring is retired from Step Saver Kitchens and Mine Safety Appliances. She enjoys crossword puzzles.
