The Lutheran Service Society staff recently gathered at the Butler Senior Center to pack and ship cookies to Scott Reeseman, a staff member of the Butler County Area Agency on Aging serving as a major with the Army National Guard in Iraq. From left, service coordinator Pam Malachin and senior center managers Marilyn Slagle, Anna Marie Knoll and Barbara Lehman packed more than 2,000 cookies baked by members of the society's 11 senior centers.
