7:41 p.m. Tuesday - Gary Lee Kendall, 23, of Butler was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after suffering an apparent drug overdose in the bathroom of a West Cunningham Street restaurant.Paramedics were able to revive Kendall, who was semi-conscious when found. Police said the defendant was found with a suspected drug fix kit, including a syringe, spoon and cotton.1:16 a.m. Saturday - Corey Shoup, 23, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license at Race and Chestnut streets.
8:55 p.m. Tuesday - A pickup truck driven by Robert Ruediger, 66, of Butler and a sport utility vehicle driven by Amy Schiebel, 24, of Fenelton collided at Old Route 422 and Game Reserve Road in Clearview Township.4:25 p.m. Tuesday - A pickup truck driven by Joshua Allen, 18, of Pulaski, Lawrence County, struck a mobile home being hauled by a truck on Route 422 in Prospect.Police said the crash occurred when Allen fell asleep, and struck the home pulled by a truck driven by Richard Haas, 53, of Avonmore, Westmoreland County.Allen, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken with minor injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital. He was cited for careless driving and not wearing a seat belt. The home sustained moderate damage while Allen's pickup was severely damaged.Tuesday - A car driven by Codi Smith, 18, of Slippery Rock struck an embankment and overturned on Branchton Road near Grubbs Road in Cherry Township.11:05 a.m. Monday - A car driven by Jennifer Steger, 20, of Wexford and a mini-van driven by Gladys Olivera, 28, of Williamsville, N.Y., collided on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Both drivers, wearing seat belts, were taken with moderate injuries to UPMC Passavant Cranberry.
4:54 a.m. Friday - David Opalka, 20, of Ford City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Park Avenue and Armstrong Drive in Manor Township, Armstrong County. Additionally, Opalka and a passenger, Michael Chambers, 20, of Pittsburgh, were cited for underage drinking.
2 p.m. Monday - A 1997 Dodge Caravan driven by John Owens, 20, of Slippery Rock was destroyed after bursting into flames on Kelly Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.Owens, who was not injured, told police he was eastbound when he noticed smoke coming from under the dashboard. He pulled off the road and got out of the mini-van moments before fire engulfed the vehicle. Pine Township volunteer firefighters were called and put out the fire.Monday - Lois Kays of Mercer reported that between 3:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Monday someone broke into her car at the Sheetz convenience store in Pine Township and took jewelry from her purse
