Lois Wogan Stokes of Butler celebrated her 90th birthday with a family celebration at the home of her granddaughter, Sue Dimsa, in Pittsburgh.

The former Lois Teets was born July 12, 1915, in Beaver County. She married Earl Wogan on Nov. 25, 1933. He is deceased. She then married James Stokes on June 26, 1982.

She has five children, Evelyn Kennedy, Don Wogan and John Wogan, all of Butler; David Wogan of Connoquenessing; and Janet Federkeil of West Mifflin. She also has 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Stokes has served as a volunteer for the hospital, the city census and for voter registration. She has been active at Christ's Outreach Church and in the Tanglewood Auxiliary.

A homemaker, she enjoys travel, playing cards and crossword puzzles.
