Paul R. Sutter

Paul R. Sutter, 80, of Richland Township died Friday at Magee Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born April 28, 1925, in Etna, he was the son of William T. and Anna Leahy Sutter.

Mr. Sutter was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, and he was a member of the VFW Post 7505 in Mars and the West View Sportsman Club. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.

He is survived by his wife, Bernadette A. Burkhart Sutter, whom he was married to for 52 years; five sons, Kenneth and Paul Sutter Jr. of Valencia, David Sutter of Gibsonia and James and Thomas Sutter of Richland; a daughter, Cynthia Sutter-Dominguez of California; six siblings, William T. Sutter Jr., Lucille Gorgas, Francis "Spike" Sutter, Mary Alice Breuckner, Margaret Fitzgerald, and Regina DeMario. Also surviving are nine grandsons and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

SUTTER - Friends of Paul R. Sutter, who died Friday, June 17, 2005, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the SHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday in St. Richard Church with the Rev. Regis Farmer as celebrant.Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery of St. Mary's, Hampton Township.The family suggests donations to St. Richard Church, 3824 Dickey Road, Gibsonia, PA 15044 or the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205.Please pay tribute at www.schellhaasfh.com.
