Earl and Leetta Christy of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family weekend at the Trimbur Family camp in Sigel.

The former Leetta Trimbur married Christy on June 18, 1955, at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

They have four children, Mary Kay Angert of East Butler, Earl "Buzz" Christy of Fenelton and Carol Plavi and Sandy Harrison, both of Cabot.

They also have 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Christy is retired from Armco. He is a member of the Butler Fireman's Club and the Happy Hunters Club. He enjoys hunting and traveling.

Mrs. Christy is retired from the emergency room at Butler Memorial Hospital. She is a member of a card club and enjoys traveling.

The couple belongs to St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville, where Mrs. Christy is a member of the choir and serves as a Eucharist minister.
