An Aug. 14 wedding is being planned by Butler residents Debra Swidzinski and Alexander Giocondo.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of the Rev. Larry and Carol Swidzinski of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Steve and Karen Giocondo of Stockton, N.J.

The bride-elect graduated high school in 2000 and from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2004. She is currently a graduate student at the University of Pittsburgh.

Her fiancé graduated high school in 1997 and from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2002. He works at Citizens Bank in Slippery Rock.
