An Oct. 7 wedding is being planned by Shanon Harbison of Butler and Brad Young of Export.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Bruce and Rochelle Harbison of Butler. Parents of the prospective bridegroom are Lynn and Joanne Young of Export.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2005 graduate of Penn State University, earning a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She works at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Her fiancé graduated in 1998 from Penn-Trafford High School and in 2002 from Penn State University, earning a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering. He works at the Sony Technology Center in Mount Pleasant.
