John W. Cupec
John W. Cupec, 77, of Slippery Rock died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday at Life Care Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born May 9, 1928, in Butler County, he was the son of John and Anna Cupec. He was a carpenter from local union 922 and also was a farmer.
He was a veteran of the Marines, where he was a sharpshooter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Darlene) Himmerlin of Slippery Rock; two sons, Dale and Robert Cupec, both of Slippery Tock; four grandchildren, Jesse, Jennifer, Heath and Zane Cupec; three sisters, Mrs. Donald (Mary) Grant of Butler, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Martin of Wisconsin, and Mrs. Joseph (Margaret) Drobezko of Slippery Rock; two brothers, Andrew Maczej of Michigan, and Joe Cupec of Conneaut Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret E Thompson Cupec, who died Jan. 24, 2001. Also preceding him were a sister, Ann Skunda; a brother, Steve Cupec; and an infant brother.
