Bertram Mueller of Grove City will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. July 24 in the Fellowship Hall at East Main Presbyterian Church.

Born July 5, 1915, in Altoona, he married Ada Peden on Aug. 29, 1947.

He has nine children, Janet Corbett and Dr. Robert Mueller, both of Grove City; Fred Mueller of Kumora, Russia; Peggy Juliano of Cranberry Township; Carl Mueller of Parker; Mary Ridley of Bradford; Dr. James Mueller of Isle of Palms, S.C.; Rick Mueller of Erie; and John Mueller of East Butler.

He also has 41 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mueller retired from Penreco in 1977 and from farming in 1994.

He is a member of the East Main Presbyterian Church, where he and his wife are active in the church choir and the Tri-Fidelis Sunday School Class.

He is also a member of the Penn-Ohio Singer Barbershop Chorus; the Bach Society; the VFW and American Legion, both in Grove City; and the Marine Corps League, Bantam Detachment 743.

The family requests no gifts.
