3:43 a.m. Tuesday - David Williams, 42, of Clay Township was arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Colleen McCormick, 41, at her North Cedar Street home. McCormick suffered redness and bruising around her throat and right arm.Williams, who told police he was only defending himself from McCormick, is charged with simple assault.

Saturday - Vehicles driven by Christopher Varade, 21, of East Butler and Shirley Desantis, 48, of Butler collided at Saw Mill Run Road and Kennedy Drive. Jessica Fitzpatrick, 19, of Butler and her daughter, both passengers in Varade's vehicle, suffered minor injuries.

1 p.m. June 27 - Vehicles driven by Denise Hartle, 49, of Harmony and Doris DePew, 73, of Slippery Rock collided on Main Street.

12:45 a.m. Tuesday - A vehicle driven by Michael Brletic, 21, of White Oak, Allegheny County, struck a fence post along Route 356 in Summit Township. The vehicle traveled through a parking lot and ended in a grass yard.4:40 p.m. Monday - A vehicle driven by Pamela Kershaw, 22, of Pittsburgh struck guardrails on both sides of the southbound lanes of Interstate 79 in Worth Township. Kershaw, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Monday - Citizen Band radios were taken between 11 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 a.m. Monday from an Amerikohl Mining Inc. site off Route 308 in Clay Township. Heavy equipment and a trailer door owned by the company also were damaged.Monday - Someone between 11 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday damaged and took the mailboxes and posts of three residents on Thorn Run Road in Oak Township.-Monday - Thomas Kaplin, 19, of West Sunbury allegedly took about $40 from his parents' car on Keister Road in Cherry Township. He faces theft charges.10:45 p.m. Sunday - Maria Robinson of Pittsburgh said her purse and cell phone were taken from the Slippery Rock Campground in Worth Township.5 p.m. June 28 - Cars driven by Sara Choura, 84, of Butler and Edward Rhyshek, 53, of Saxonburg collided at Pittsburgh and West Airport roads in Penn Township. Choura was cited for a left-turn violation.
