Eugene Hoffman of Butler, who resides at Sugar Creek Rest Home in Worthington, will celebrate his 90th birthday with an open house from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Reformed Church, Route 68, Butler Township.

Hoffman was born July 6, 1915, in Mount Chestnut. He married Margaret Chaney on Aug. 30, 1947.

He has two children, Larry Hoffman and Sharon Reed, both of Butler.

He also has five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Hoffman is a retired apple grower and turnpike toll collector. He served as treasurer for Butler County from 1964 to 1968.

He is a member of St. John's Reformed Church and the Butler Kiwanis Club.
