Donald N. Kovacevic

Donald N. Kovacevic, 80, of Marshall Township, Allegheny County, died Thursday at UPMC Passavant, North Hills.

Born April 21, 1925, in West Middlesex, he was the son of Nick and Ana Vranich Kovacevic.

He was a member of St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Aliquippa. He also belonged to the Beaver County Silver Strings and the American Serbian Club of Aliquippa.

Mr. Kovacevic was the former owner of DK Enterprises and the Pine Inn Tavern. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Rodgers; two sons, Ronald (Patricia) Kovacevic and Dana (Elizabeth) Kovacevic, both of Marshall Township; two daughters, Lorraine (Patrick) Rice of Marshall Township and Marlene (Allan) Simons of Rochester; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Patricia, Ronald James, Brian, Robin, Kristopher and Emily; and two great-grandchildren.

He also is survived by three sisters, Doris Vanmeter of Sandy Lake, Dorothy (Michael) Minich of Beaver and Dolly Mistovich of Economy; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Arlene Shipman Kovacevic; and three brothers, Daniel, David and Delbert.

KOVACEVIC - Friends of Donald N. Kovacevic, who died Thursday, June 2, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at GABAUER FUNERAL HOME at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Steven Stephanov officiating. Burial will be at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township, Beaver County.A Pomon service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
