9 a.m. Tuesday - A truck driven by Donald Quinn, 48, of New Castle backed into a legally parked vehicle owned by Jessica and Ronald Geidel of Callery on Center Avenue at the South Street intersection.

Thursday - Harold Ralph Witzel, 48, of Clinton Township was charged with persons not to possess firearms, receiving stolen property and prohibited offensive weapons. Witzel is accused of storing several stolen firearms at his 224 Cromwell Drive residence. He was placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bond.2:38 a.m. Thursday - Liane Spears, 27, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence following a traffic stop on West Penn Street near North Chestnut Street.9:30 p.m. Friday - Billie Jo Henry of Fenelton was arrested on suspicion of stealing various pieces of clothing and five knives worth a total of $131 from two vendors at the Butler County Fair in Franklin Township.June 18 - Terry Gerald McClanahan, 45, of Chicora reported the theft of several items worth $12,920 from a locked storage bin at 268 Self-Storage on Kittanning Pike Road in Fairview Township. Anyone with information about the theft should call state police in Butler at 724-284-8100.Wednesday - Wheels of Work on Evans City Road in Forward Township reported the theft of 1994 Mercury Topaz.Wednesday - Betty Bishop, 84, of Bruin reported the theft of a gas container with gas from her garage at 204 School St. between 9:30 a.m. Monday and 1 p.m. Wednesday.Friday - A customer at S & S Market in Franklin Township reported finding a knit change purse containing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia on the ground in the parking lot of the North Road store.

10:25 a.m. Wednesday - Dae Hyun Shin, 57, and Moon P. Hong, 56, both of New Jersey, were charged with transporting $200,000 worth of counterfeit clothing following a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Findley Township. Items included Reebok and Nike jerseys. Both suspects were remanded to Mercer County Jail after failing to post bond.2 p.m. June 25 - Jarek J. Shankle, 19, of Volant, Lawrence County, was charged with stealing $1,000 from William Lee Vaughn, 66, also of Volant, at a Perry Highway residence in Springfield Township.8:20 a.m. Friday - A car driven by Rudy A. Davis, 56, of Grove City was traveling on George Junior Road in Pine Township when it left the roadway off the south berm, hit a ditch and small trees. Davis told police he wasn't injured.
