Retiered Lieutenant General Don Snyder will be the guest speaker at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday service at Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave. He will provide a patriotic presentation entitled "Happy Birthday USA."
COVENANT PRESBY
The Rev. William Jamieson will be the guest speaker at the 10 a.m. Sunday Worship service at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St.
The Covenant Cupboard Food Bank is requesting donations of cereal for July. Baskets to receive the donations are in the Jefferson Street front entrance hall.
FIRST BAPTIST
First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will present a patriotic concert at 7 p.m. Friday. Performers will include violinist Todd Wentworth, harpist Nicole McAllister, guitarist Steve Foster, keyboardist Phil Tucker and vocalists Josh Hales and Erin Jensen. A love offering will be received to benefit First Baptist Christian School.
Sunday's 10:55 a.m. service will be broadcast on radio station WISR and will include a mini concert featuring vocalist Elaine Brown and narrator Larry Thompson.
Dave and Keara Kistler Trepanier, who are preparing for a one-year missionary assignment with the Baptist Bible College of the Caribbean at St. Vincent Island in the Grenadines, will share their ministry at the 6 p.m. Sunday service.
The church will be among congregations involved in the Family Camp 2005 to be held Monday through July 9 at Slippery Rock Baptist Camp, 130 Elliott Lane, Slippery Rock.

Communion will be served at the 6 and 7 p.m. Saturday and 8:20 a.m. Sunday services at First United Methodist Church, 200 E. North St.
In observance of Independence Day, the office will be closed Monday.
FIRST ENGLISH LUTHERAN
Blood pressure screenings will be held in the parish care ministry area of the social room at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., after the 8:30 a.m. and before and after the 10:30 a.m. Sunday services.
CiCi's pizza at Moraine Pointe Plaza will sponsor a "fish bowl" benefit for Sarah Tapager anytime during the day on July 7. If you mention her name, 10 percent of your bill will go into the bowl.
GLADE RUN U.P.
The church office of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will be closed on Monday in observance of Independence Day.
July is Glade Run's month to provide desserts for Meals-on-Wheels. Items needed are brownies, cookies, cupcakes and cakes. A sign-up sheet is in the church kitchen.
The 2005 Farmer's Market Nutrition Program provides eligible seniors with vouchers to purchase fresh grown fruits and vegetables from participating farm markets. Vouchers will be distributed at the church from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
GRACE @ CALVARY LUTHERAN
Faith Shapers youth from Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., will visit the Pittsburgh Zoo Friday. They will leave the church at 9 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. Cost is $7 and participants should take a packed lunch or money to purchase lunch. For information, contact youth director Chris Wagner.
GRACEWAY COMMUNITY
Sgt. Chad Barnhart, who recently returned from Iraq, will share his experiences with the congregation during the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service at GraceWay Community Church, which meets in the Heritage Room at the Butler Days Inn.
Guests attending the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday are invited to the Days Inn brunch afterwards. Brunch special is buy one, get the second one for half price.
The youth of GraceWay will attend the Creation Christian Music Festival Friday through Sunday.

A group of parishioners will leave on July 7 for a week's mission trip to work at the orphanage in Patzun, Guatemala.
