Mazie R. Ball, 73, of Butler died at 4 a.m. today at Sunnyview Nursing Home.

Born Aug. 3, 1931, in Butler, she was the daughter of Ernest and Kathryn Moore Ball.

She had worked at Armco-Butler Works with the meal cart. She also had worked at Burger Hut, Digger's Diner, Ricardo's restaurant and McDonalds on Route 8.

Surviving are a daughter, Rene Ball of Butler; a granddaughter, Kelsey Ball of Butler; a brother, Ernest Robert Ball of Butler; and a half-brother, Ronald Miano of California.

She was preceded in death a sister, two brothers and two stepbrothers.

BALL - Friends of Mazie R. Ball, who died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Matthew Perkins, pastor of the Free Methodist Church, officiating.
