A July 23 wedding is being planned by Jolena Bishop of Karns City and Tyrel McFarland of Chicora.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robert and Janice Bishop of Karns City. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Sid McFarland of Montgomery, Ala., and Suzy McFarland of Chicora.

The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2002 graduate of Seton Hill University. She works as a teacher at Elderton High School in the Armstrong School District.

Her fiancé graduated in 1998 from Karns City High School and in 2002 from Waynesburg College. He works as a teacher at Valley High School in the New Kensington/Arnold School District.
