Biffle gets better of Batman field
Greg Biffle baffled the Batman Begins 400 field to win his 5th Nextel Cup Series race of the season Sunday afternoon at Michigan Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich.
The Roush Racing team driver opted not to pit for tires late in the race while the leaders all stopped to put on four new ones.
Once in the lead, Biffle was able to hold off Tony Stewart for the win.
Mark Martin ran a strong race finishing third. Matt Kenseth was fourth while Carl Edwards nailed the fifth slot.
With the win, Biffle now stands 49 points behind the leader Jimmie Johnson.
Fan favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr. is having a rough year. He finished deep in the field once again. There is a chance Earnhardt won't make the final 10 grid in the chase for the Nextel Cup.
The series heads west to Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Calif., Sunday afternoon for the running of the Dodge/Save Mart 350.
Did I mention Infineon is a road course. Enough said.
