Wendell and Peggy Bable of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with an Alaskan cruise.

The former Peggy McCafferty married Bable on June 11, 1955, during a lawn wedding at the home of the bride.

They have a daughter, Kathy Bable of Union Grove, Wis.

Bable is retired from the Butler School District.

Mrs. Bable is retired from Feullgraf Electric.

The couple belongs to First Baptist Church and enjoys camping.
