LYNDORA - A senior wellness event will be held from 9:30 a.m. to noon June 23 at the Butler Senior Center at the Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave.The event will include several health screenings, a brown bag medication review and ideas for relaxation and fitness.The Butler County Area Agency on Aging Prime Time Health Program, Personal Touch and the Lutheran Service Society are sponsoring the event. The annual Bicycle Rodeo will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Island Playground, Hazel and Beckert avenues.The event will include karaoke, giveaways, safety presentations and a free bike for city residents ages 5 to 15 who register in advance.For information, call Denny Offstein at 724-287-7771.
The Education Department at Butler Memorial Hospital, 911 E. Brady St., will host a father/son class from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 27 in the Dimmick Educational Center.The event is open to fathers with sons ages 9 to 12 and will discuss changes that occur during puberty.Cost is $10 for each father/son pair. The Butler County Parks and Recreation Program will host a Let There Be Slime program at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Carousel Shelter at Alameda Park.As part of the Outdoor Education program, the event will include a presentation on amphibians by April Claus.
The Butler High School Class of 1965 will host an informal reunion at 7 p.m. July 1 at the Butler Cubs Hall, South McKean Street. Admission is 35 cents and is open to friends, regardless of graduation year.A formal dinner and dance will be held at 7 p.m. July 2 at The Atrium in Prospect.
