GRADUATES
Katie Kattic Huffman graduated with a bachelor of science degree in social work from the University of Tennessee.While at the university, she was named a Phi Alpha Social Work Honor Student, a Resident Assistant Hall of Fame inductee, an honorary member of the year in the National Residence Hall Honorary, and a dean's list student.The recipient of the Social Work Undergraduate Scholarship and the Residence Hall Academic Achievement Award, she was the winner in her division of the Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement.Huffman also completed two internships, a service trip with Team VOLS and served as a student government senator.The daughter of Mark and Lana Huffman of Cranberry Township, she is a 2001 graduate of Seneca Valley Senior High School.She is currently employed as an associate researcher for the Social Work Office of Research and Public Service in Knoxville, Tenn. She plans to pursue a master's degree in urban affairs and public policy at the University of Delaware.
<B>Travis English</B> graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in ceramics from Hiram College.While at the college, he served as a Vencl-Carr endowed teaching assistant and was the recipient of the President's Scholarship and the Norman A. Hinrichsen Scholarship in Humanities.He was also the recipient of various prizes for juried art shows and writing.A 2001 graduate of Butler High School, he is the son of William and Brenda English of Butler.English plans to pursue a doctorate degree in modern art history and criticism at Stony Brook University.
<B>Kristen Rugg</B>, daughter of Barry Rugg of Emlenton and Jodi Billich of Fort Myers, Fla., graduated from Butler Beauty School recently.Named the student of the month for May at the school, she is a 1998 graduate of Moniteau High School and a 1999 graduate of North Hills School of Allied Health. She also attended Butler County Community College.She works at Contemporary Hair Designs.
<B>Matthew Miller</B> graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of arts degree in international relations from San Francisco State University.While at the university, he was inducted into the Sigma Iota Rho international relations honor society.A 2001 graduate of Butler High School, he is the son of George and Mary Ann Miller of Butler.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>
<B>Amanda Leonberg</B> graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry and biology from John Carroll University.While at the university, she was a member of the Honors Program and the Alpha Sigma Nu national Jesuit honor society. She was also the recipient of the Outstanding Biology Major Award, the Biochemistry Award and the American Institute of Chemists Award.The daughter of Dave and Suzanne Leonberg of Mars, she is a 2001 graduate of Mars High School.<BR><BR><BR>
<B>Sarah Lydon</B> graduated with a master's degree of physician assistant science from Saint Francis University.While at the university, she was named to Who's Who Among American College and University Students.The daughter of Thomas and Janet Lydon of Cabot, she is a 2000 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2004 graduate of Saint Francis University, where she received a bachelor's degree in health science.Lydon plans to specialize in family practice or pediatrics.<BR><BR><BR>
<B>Rachel Achesinski</B> graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in business administration from John Carroll University.While at the university, she was named to the dean's list and belonged to the Alpha Sigma Nu Jesuit honor society, the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society and the Phi Eta Sigma national honor society. She is also the recipient of the A.J. Clifford S.J. Scholarship and the Financial Executive Institute Award.A 2001 graduate of Butler High School, she is the daughter of Lee and Beverly Achesinski of Butler.Achesinski has accepted a position in the financial management program in the Advanced Materials Business Division of General Electric.
