Thursday - Christina Lechner reported two boys' Mongoose model bicycles were taken from her South Street home. One of the bikes, spray-painted black, has a 20-inch frame with 16-inch wheels. The other bike has a 15-inch frame and is black and chrome.
Sunday - Police were called to a crash at Hartmann Road and Route 528 but when officers arrived they found no one near the Isuzu Rodeo laying on its side.Two witnesses told police the vehicle was speeding over a hill near the Seneca Landfill when it flipped over. Police have identified the owner of the vehicle but no charges have yet been filed in the crash.12:59 a.m. Saturday - Grant Etter, 18, of Zelienople was arrested on drug-related charges following a traffic stop on McKim Street. Police said they found Etter with suspected marijuana, a vial of unknown white powder and drug paraphernalia.
10:29 p.m. Thursday - Vehicles driven by Lonn Schafer, 37 of Zelienople and Joseph Weil, 20, of Fombell, Beaver County, collided at Green Lane and West Beaver Street.5:33 p.m. June 9 - James Gerginski, 32, of Jackson Township was injured when a car struck the motorcycle he was driving on Main Street. Gerginski, who was thrown off the motorcycle, was treated at a hospital for a wrist injury.The driver of the car did not stop. Police have a suspect in the hit-and-run investigation.
12:40 p.m. Thursday - A tractor-trailer driven by Timothy Cubbon, 24, of Seneca, Venango County, and a car driven by Walter Stalma, 76, of New Castle collided at Route 422 and Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Stalma suffered moderate injuries. Cubbon was cited for a left-turn violation.12:35 p.m. Thursday - A car driven by Michael Lindt, 76, and a mini-van driven by Richard White, 38, both of Parker, collided on Route 38 in Venango Township. George Lindt, 80, of San Jose, Calif., a passenger in the car, and Anna Ealy, 32, a passenger in the van, suffered minor injuries; both were wearing seat belts.6 p.m. Wednesday - Loriann McKinney, 36, of Butler Township is accused of fraudulently receiving store credit for merchandise she allegedly stole and later returned to Boscov's, Clearview Mall in Center Township. She faces theft-related charges.6:25 a.m. Wednesday - A car driven by Dustin Hilliard, no age given, of Grove City and a pickup truck driven by James Puryear, no age given, of Slippery Rock collided on Route 108 in Slippery Rock Township. Hilliard, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.12:45 a.m. Wednesday - A sport utility vehicle driven by James Errera, 26, of Slippery Rock traveled off Harmony Road and rolled onto its roof in Mercer Township. Police said Errera fled after the crash.Wednesday - Police reported a compact disc case containing numerous CDs was found June 1 along Gamelands Road in Clearfield. The owner can claim the property by calling the barracks at 724-284-8100.Wednesday - Someone broke into the Gerner Road home of Andreas Huchingson and took a purse owned by Sara Mickelic of Cabot. The burglary and theft occurred between 1:30 and 6 a.m.Tuesday - Nicole Rivera, 27, of Butler was arrested for allegedly breaking into a Vanderzee Lane home in Summit Township and assaulting one of the occupants.Police said Rivera broke into the home of Julie Vanderzee and struck Nathan Vanderzee, 26, as he slept at the home. The defendant, as she left the house, is accused of throwing a cement brick at a vehicle parked there.Rivera, who is free on recognizance bond, is charged with burglary and harassment.June 10 - Someone between 1 and 7:45 a.m. broke into two soda machines at the Forestville Beer Distributor on William Flynn Highway in Mercer Township. The thief made off with about $100 from the machines. The machines sustained another $100 in damage.During the same time frame, two soda machines at the Penn Gold Ice Cream Co. on Main Street in Harrisville were broken into, and about $100 taken.June 9 - A DS80 Suzuki dirt bike was reported taken from woods behind the Muddy Creek Drive home of Elaine Trufley-Young in Slippery Rock Township.5:53 p.m. June 8 - Paul Heller, no age given, of Chicora was arrested for driving under the influence after he crashed his pickup on Hooker Road in Clay Township.May 31 - Ten resin lawn chairs were taken between March 1 and May 31 from a North Road camp site in Franklin Township. Dayton Crook of Cherry Tree, Indiana County, owns the stolen property.
6 p.m. Tuesday - Lance Black, 34, of Kittanning was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County.
