Ruth M. Bowser

Ruth M. Bowser, 60, of Sunnyview Nursing Home died at 7:50 p.m. Thursday at Sunnyview.

Born in Kittanning, Jan. 10, 1945, she was the daughter of William Sr. and Dorothy L. Atkins Furl.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Queenstown Methodist Church.

Surviving are a son, Richard Allen Bowser of Butler; two daughters, Ruth Ann Bowser of Butler and Mary Jane Shelatree of Eau Claire; and six grandchildren. She also is survived by three brothers, David and Ronald Furl and William Furl Jr., all of Karns City; six sisters, Mrs. Barb Seybert and Mrs. Edna Hicks, both of Karns City, Mrs. Kathy Brothers of East Brady, Mrs. Linda Brison of New Bethlehem, Mrs. Mary Bish of Apollo and Mrs. Martha Furl; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A sister and a brother preceded her in death.

BOWSER - Friends of Ruth M. Bowser, who died Thursday, May 12, 2005, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St. Services will follow at 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rick Buchanan, pastor of Trinity Harvest Church of Petrolia, officiating.Information also is available at www.thompson-miller.com.
