7:10 a.m. Sunday - A pickup truck driven by Alan Christy, 18, of Hilliards struck a tree along Sunset Drive near Mercer Road in Center Township. Christy, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.12:47 a.m. Sunday - Police are seeking the unknown driver of a stolen car that crashed on Fairmont Road in Fairview Township.The 1994 Pontiac Grand Am was taken from the Grove Street home of Betty Bergbigler in Chicora after 10 p.m. Saturday.Police discovered the car had struck a grass embankment and rolled onto its roof. Anyone with information about the theft or crash is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.Sunday - Assorted tools were taken between 6 p.m. Saturday and 9:30 a.m. Sunday in a burglary at Mark Thomas Trucking and Excavating on New Castle Road in Franklin Township.10:42 a.m. Saturday - A car driven by David Scott Jr., 19, of Hilliards traveled off Old Brick Road in Washington Township and sheared off a utility pole. Police and the crash occurred when Scott fell asleep at the wheel. He was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.7:20 a.m. Saturday - A sport utility vehicle driven by Scot Dix, no age given, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, struck a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Dix, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries. Police said the crash occurred when Dix fell asleep at the wheel.2 a.m. Saturday - Shaley Tarr, no age given, of Clay Township was arrested for driving under the influence at Hall and McGregor roads in Clay Township.12:20 p.m. Friday - A tractor-trailer driven by Robert Means, 43, of Ambridge, Beaver County, and a car driven by James Marcrum, 42, of Aliquippa, Beaver County, collided on Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township. Marcrum, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.9 a.m. Friday - A car driven by Barbara Balach, 61, of McKees Rocks, Allegheny County, traveled off Interstate 79 in Cranberry Township and rolled onto its roof.Friday - Fifteen stainless steel hotel plates fitted with lids were taken between Wednesday and Friday from the Fairground Market on New Castle Road in Franklin Township. The stolen property is valued at $750.Friday - Heather Osche of Butler reported that her cell phone was taken between 11 and 11:50 p.m. from the East Butler fire hall on Grant Avenue.Friday - Barbara Harter reported that her car keys and wallet containing credit cards were taken overnight from her Buhl Road home in Forward Township.2:30 a.m. June 6 - Someone tried unsuccessfully to break into a Campground Road building owned by Allegheny Mineral in Mercer Township. About $800 in damage to window frames and a steel door was reported in the attempted burglary. Anyone with information is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.June 2 - Money, a purse and cell phone were taken June 1 or 2 from the Applewood Lane home of Timothy and Rita Brown in Slippery Rock Township.
