2 p.m. June 2 - A mini-van driven by Lacinda May Smith, no age given, of Liberty, S.C., struck a car parked on South Chestnut Street. Joseph Vozar of Butler owns the car.

6:25 p.m. Wednesday - A car driven by Nicholas Fennick, 20, and a mini-van driven by Deborah Steele, 52, both of Summit Township collided on Kittanning Street.Steele, who suffered a concussion, was flown by medical helicopter to an unknown Pittsburgh hospital. Her condition was not known this morning. Fennick was taken with a cut on his arm to Butler Memorial Hospital.

11:27 p.m. Saturday - Robert Mitchell, III, 43, of Cranberry Township was arrested for driving under the influence at a DUI checkpoint near the Kenny Ross dealership on Route 19.12:10 p.m. Saturday - William Rice, 21, of Cranberry Township was cited for disorderly conduct and speeding after officer found several pipes and suspected marijuana residue in his vehicle following a traffic stop for speeding on Route 68.June 3 - Police investigated three separate reports of attempted break-ins of soda and change machines in the area.Damaged in the attempted thefts was a soda machine near T.M. Hardware in the Northgate Plaza; two change machines at the Wash Me car wash on Route 19 and two soda machines at the Seneca Valley Intermediate High School off Seneca School Drive.3:44 p.m. June 1 - A vehicle driven by Robert Turbidy, 68, of Pittsburgh struck a traffic light pole along Lindsay Road, near the Interstate 79 northbound ramp.5:09 p.m. May 31 - Vehicles driven by Charles Sayti, 57, of Jackson Township and Lori Lee Herko, 26, of Summit Township collided on Route 68 near the Pro Gas business. Both drivers suffered minor injuries.

Saturday - Two motorists were arrested for driving under the influence on Route 19 in Jackson Township. The arrests were made during a sobriety checkpoint led by the Butler County District Attorney's Office DUI Task Force.Additionally, officers issued eight traffic and two non-traffic citations, as well as 118 warnings to motorists stopped during the checkpoint detail. One person was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.

5:10 p.m. Thursday - A car driven by Stephen William, 61, of Cowen, W.Va., struck a deer on Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.7:15 a.m. Thursday - A pickup truck driven by Charles Bello, 45, of Tarentum, Allegheny County and a car driven by Duane Cello, 19, of Callery collided at Mars-Evans City Road and Kline Avenue in Callery.2:57 a.m. Thursday - James Floyd Jr., 26, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence after his car struck a utility pole along Route 108 in Slippery Rock. In additional to DUI, Floyd is charged with careless driving and driving with a suspended license.Floyd, also wanted on a bench warrant, was placed in the Butler County Prison following the crash.Wednesday - An aluminum dock ramp was stolen sometime between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8:20 a.m. Wednesday from Lake Arthur Lawn & Garden on Prospect Road in Franklin Township.

Wednesday - Police continue to investigate last month's attempted arson of a mobile home on Ken Wolfe Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County.Owner Duane Roofner of Worthington recently found what appeared to be a homemade incendiary device under the home that he uses for storage. The device was ignited sometime between May 19 and 27 but failed to cause any damage, police said.2 p.m. Tuesday - A car driven by Jennifer Yant, 22, of Kittanning and a sport utility vehicle driven by Diana Wolford, 37, no address given, collided on Route 128 in South Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. Yant, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.
