Katherine I. Jespersen
Katherine I. "Kit" Young Jespersen, 77, of Evans City died Monday morning at UPMC Passavant Cranberry in Cranberry Township.
Born Sept. 22, 1927, in Oxford, England, she was the daughter of Albert J. and Lydia B. Pendle Young.
She was a Protestant.
Mrs. Jespersen had been a sales clerk at Evans City Drug Store. She enjoyed playing bingo, knitting, and reading.
Surviving are her husband, Albert Jespersen whom she married March 25, 1945; four sons, Donald Jespersen of Harmony and David, Andrew and Richard Jespersen, all of Evans City; two daughters, Mrs. David (Susan) Roberts of Evans City and Carol Ann Potts of Butler; three brothers, Joseph Young of Butler and Robert and Kenneth Young, both of Evans City; and four sisters, Mrs. Vera Dunmyre, Mrs. Julian (Jesse) Bieber and Mrs. Everette (Elizabeth) Green, all of Evans City and Mrs. Walter (Margaret) Herr of Indiana. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
JESPERSEN - A memorial service for Katherine I. "Kit" Young Jespersen, who died Monday, May 2, 2005, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crestview Presbyterian Church, Callery, with the Rev.
