Chris Purka homered in the top of the ninth inning Tuesday, breaking up a pitcher's duel and giving Natrona Heights a 3-2 Eagle County League baseball victory over Mars II.

Starting pitchers Chris Kelly and Josh Rape both worked all nine innings. They combined for 20 strikeouts and three walks.

Kelly was the winning pitcher, striking out 11.

Elsewhere:

Steve Hall, Justin Woodrow, Brendan Malone and Matt DeSantis all homered as Saxonburg overwhelmed Wexford 11-1.

Greg Samson struck out seven in a complete-game effort and Bill Daugherty had thre hits as Freeport defeated Harmony, 10-2.
