Myron Cope's annual charity golf tournament, slated for June 20 at Montour Heights Country Club, has combined with the Tri-State PGA Invitational.

John Mazza, Montour Heights club pro, expects 22 area pros to compete, one with each scrambling foursome. This tournament has raised more than $1 million since its inception in 1981.

The second annual PH Cure Golf Outing will be held at noon Aug. 27 at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club.The day includes golf, lunch, dinner, skill prizes, raffle prizes and an auction, with 100 percent of all net proceeds going to Pulmonary Hypertension research.PH is a rare and potentially life threatening disease that causes high blood pressure in the lungs. There will be a First Swing seminar and Learn to Golf clinic for golf instructors and individuals with disabilities from 8: 30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday at the Woodlands' No Handicap Golf Club, 134 Shenot Drive, Wexford.The club is the region's only fully adaptive, par 3, nine-hole golf course designed for individuals with disabilities.Cost is $35, which includes meals, materials, CEUs and annual membership in the Eastern Amputee Golf Association and $25 for persons with disabilities and includes meals, materials and annual membership.For details, call Patrick Monaghan at 724-935-6533.

Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver will be the celebrity golfer as St. Barnabas Health System hosts its 18th Charitable Golf Open June 6 at the Butler Country Club.Registration fee is $325 per player for the morning field, which tees off at 7:45 a.m., and $375 per player for the afternoon field, which begins at 12:45 p.m. Cost includes 18 holes of golf, cart, beverages and unlimited range balls. Morning session golfers receive a buffet breakfast and gourmet lunch; afternoon golfers receive a buffet lunch.All are invited to attend a cocktail hour and awards dinner. The second annual Butler County Community College Alumni/Athletics Golf Outing will be June 3 at the Oakview Country Club in Slippery Rock Township.Registration will be at 11 a.m., with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Dinner will be at 5:30 p.m.Various tee, hole and prize sponsorship opportunities are available. Joe Boros, Sean Farren and Ryan Sikora all carded 3-under-par 69 to tie for first at the U.S. Open Local Qualifier Tuesday at Tom's Run Golf Course.The four alternates, in order, are Kevin Shields, Ronald DeNunziop, Bernie DiLoreto and Malcolm Spatz.

The 20th West Penn Mid Amateur Championship is being played at the Golf Club at Somerset today.Arnold Cutrell of Greensburg is the event's defending champion. Other top golfers in the field include USGA Mid-Amateur champion Nathan Smith, multiple West Penn Amateur and Mid-Amateur champion Sean Knapp and defending West Penn Amateur champion David Brown.The starting field of 81 is scheduled for the one-day, 36-hole tournament.

The Rich-Mar Rotary Club Annual Charity Golf Outing will be held June 27 at the Treesdale Golf and Country Club.This is the major fund-raiser for the Rich-Mar Rotary. Shotgun start is noon.Call 412-486-1903 for details.
