4:45 p.m. Thursday - Patricia Flaherty reported a hit-and-run accident in which an unknown vehicle struck the front driver's side of her vehicle, which was parked on South Main Street.Wednesday - Michael Barnes, 24, of Butler was charged with writing a bad check for $50 to the Monroe Hotel. The account was closed.10:19 p.m. Wednesday - Timothy Bartley, 38, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop on Center Avenue.Wednesday - Brian Lambing, 31, of Butler was charged with theft and receiving stolen property. Lambing is accused of stealing a purse from a Sherman Avenue residence where he worked.
Friday - Butler Township Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at a Cedar Road residence between 9 a.m. and noon. The burglar broke into the house through a secured door and removed an undisclosed amount of money. Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Cedar Road area Friday morning should call police at 724-285-9600 or 911 after daylight hours.9:40 p.m. Wednesday - Justin Tyler Maskal, 21, of Butler was charged with driving under the influence and not driving on the right side of the roadway after his vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by a juvenile female on Greenwood Drive. The girl was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for treatment.
8:50 p.m. Thursday - Tyler Robinson, 19, of Butler was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance. Robinson is accused of arriving at a parking lot on Route 8 in Butler Township to sell heroin to an undercover officer. Robinson allegedly had 10 bags of heroin in his possession at the time of his arrest.Robinson also was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver and possession of a controlled substance in connection with a May 5 incident in which he is accused of delivering heroin to an undercover officer at 100 Freeport Road, Butler Township.He was arraigned by District Judge Kelly Streib and placed in Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond for the May 19 incident and $5,000 bond for the May 5 incident. The charges were filed as a result of a month-long investigation by the task force.
1 a.m. Thursday - Kelly S. Toy of Dayton, Armstrong County, reported an unknown man smashed eight windows in her van while it was parked at Sugar Creek Rest in Sugarcreek Township.8:39 a.m. Friday, May 13 - A car driven by Maria Recupero, 21, of Kittanning and a vehicle driven by Marie Venesky of Kittanning collided at the intersection of Route 3005 and Roundtop Drive in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. No one was injured.
May 12 - Carrol Conner of Rimersburg reported that someone fired paint balls at her house.
