Wednesday - Chad Scott, 24, of Butler was arrested for allegedly breaking into a North Seventh Avenue home and taking a Sony Playstation 2 and 33 related games.Police said Ryan Kelly, 24, of Butler later sold the stolen property to a Butler Township toy store for $85.Scott was arraigned on charges of burglary, theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy. He is in Butler County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bond. Kelly is charged with theft by deception, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.
5:02 p.m. Wednesday - A car driven by a 17-year-old West Sunbury boy slammed into a store sign at Route 8 and Clearview Circle at the Clearview Mall in Center Township. The boy, who suffered minor injuries, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.4 p.m. Wednesday - A truck driven by Kyle Klein, 23, of East Brady, Clarion County and a car driven by a 17-year-old Renfrew boy collided at Route 68 and Whitestown Road in Connoquenessing Township. The collision forced the car into another car, driven by a 53-year-old Butler woman.Wednesday - Police reported they are investigating the theft of a 15-gallon stainless steel tractor-trailer fuel tank taken from E&L Trucking on Perry Highway in Muddy Creek Township. The theft occurred within the past month.9:15 p.m. Tuesday - A motorcycle driven by James Beck, 35, of Slippery Rock hit a curb and crashed at Route 8 and Hall Road in Clay Township. Beck, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered a moderate arm injury. He was cited for a lane violation.4:25 p.m. Tuesday - A wallet containing an undisclosed amount of money was taken from a vehicle at a West Sunbury Road home in Marion Township. Garrett Barnes of Boyers owns the wallet.9:17 a.m. Sunday - Christopher Scully, 22, of McDonald, Washington County, swerved his motorcycle to avoid a car and crashed at Route 8 and Boyers Road in Marion Township. Scully was taken to United Community Hospital in Grove City with severe "road rash" to both arms.Jane Cooper, 80, of Grove City, who was driving the car, was cited for making an illegal turn that caused the crash.
