Monday - Mertle Schaell reported that someone overnight broke into two storage sheds at her Negley Avenue home. It was not immediately known if anything was taken in the burglary.2:41 a.m. Sunday - Kathleen Sommers, 40, of Butler was arrested for driving under the influence on Short Street. Police also cited Sommers for a turn signal violation.10:45 p.m. May 5 - A pickup truck driven by Randy Grossman, 25, of Cherry Township struck a car at West North and North Main streets, and did not stop following the crash.Police later found Grossman and cited him for accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle and careless driving. Rachel Sutton, 16, of Butler was driving the car.

Monday - Michael Jason Freeman, 27, of Butler was arrested for allegedly harassing a 30-year-old Center Township woman between April 29 and May 3. Police said Freeman made a telephone call and sent a letter to the woman - both lewd and sexually explicit in nature.Freeman, who is charged with harassment and stalking, is in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bond. He is also jailed on a state parole violation.Monday - Thirty radiators, assorted torches, gauges and wrenches were taken between Friday and Monday from Walter's Garage on Old Route 68 in Forward Township. The stolen property is valued at $620.6:54 p.m. Sunday - Vehicles driven by a 17-year-old boy from Cranberry, Venango County, whom police did not identify, and Gerald Jesteadt, 51, of Prospect collided on Route 8 near West Washington Street in Harrisville.Sunday - About $100 was taken after someone broke into a soda machine at Rask Cycle on Evans City Road in Forward Township.Thursday - Someone illegally used the credit/debit card of a Connoquenessing Township woman to run up $979 in unauthorized charges.

10:36 p.m. Sunday - A tractor-trailer driven by Gary Leschuk, no age given, of Vancouver, Wash., overturned while rounding a bend on Interstate 80 in Allegheny Township, Butler County. Leschuk, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.

11 a.m. Monday - A vehicle driven by Bryan Brinker, 21, of Slippery Rock struck a ditch and utility pole along Route 301 in Liberty Township, Mercer County. The pole was sheared in half in the crash.

2 p.m. May 9 - Scott S. Dulaney, 34, of George Junior Road was charged with driving under the influence after his vehicle was involved in an accident at the intersection of Main and Broad streets. Dulaney's vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Jonathan Yokim, 22, of Pittsburgh. No injuries were reported.May 9 - Graffiti and obscene language was spray painted on the gazebo at Memorial Park. Police are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department.1:23 a.m. May 5 - Corey N. Adams, 19, of Saltsburg was charged with driving under the influence on South Center Street. He was also charged with underage drinking, speeding and operating a vehicle as a minor while under the influence.
