Frances Donnel of McPherson's Owl's Landing in Fenelton celebrated her 90th birthday with a surprise family celebration.

The former Frances Dumbaugh was born May 15, 1915, in Butler. She married William Donnel on June 2, 1937. He is deceased.

She has five children, William Donnel and Robert Donnel, both of Butler; Karen Donnel-Ottney of Harmony; Curtis Donnel of Springfield, Va.; and Douglas Donnel of Georgia. Another son, David Donnel, is deceased.

She also has 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Donnel is a member of First United Methodist Church.

A life member of the Tanglewood Senior Center, she enjoys reading and dolls.
